Integrated training for smallholder farmers willing to become professional farmers (Dnipropetrovsk oblast)
On 19-20th of April, 2017 an integrated training for smallholder farmers willing to become professional farmers was held on the basis of Cooperative Learning Farm, located in Oleksandrivka village, Pokrovske district, Dnipropetrovsk oblast. Training was organized in terms of EBRD Project "Dissemination of knowledge and best practices on sustainable dairy farming" which is being implemented by Intenational Charitable Fund COMMUNITY WELLBEING in partnership with Dnipropetrovsk Agricultural Advisory Service and Cooperative Union HOSPODAR. Project is funded by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Training participants got answers to the main questions, which people willing to become professional farmers usually have.
Training consisted of the next main topics:
- System of livestock management and cow signals
- Hygiene and milk quality
- Young livestock raising
It is expected, that training participants who attended training, will be able to use properly the obtained knowledge and skills on the effective livestock management, hygiene of cows, milking technology and hygiene, hygiene of milk equipment, milk quality control and young livestock raising.
